COPES is the Medicaid program which is designed to allow people to remain in their home and receive in-home and community-based services. Clients can receive certain Medicaid covered medical services in their home, an assisted living/boarding home facility, or an adult family home. Who is eligible for COPES? Anyone who has personal care needs, is over 18 years old and meets the functional and financial eligibility criteria as determined by DSHS. Individuals may receive COPES services in their own home, a licensed assisted living/boarding home facility or a licensed adult family home. Persons eligible for COPES have the following services available to them: congregate care, assisted living care, adult family home care, personal care by an attendant, home health, adult day care services, transportation, environmental modifications, emergency response systems, and home delivered meals. |
